GUGUTKE (Slovenia)
With a youthful approach to a folkloric fashion, this quintett is driven to play folk tunes from all the Balkan regions in a unique way, one which combines the skills each individual brings to the group. With multiple appearances on the National television and radio (RTV), venues and festivals which are a significant musical landmark (Druga Godba, MENT festival, Czech Music Crossroads, Slovenska zemlja v pesmi in besedi) they have quickly received a national buzz as a “Virtuoso ethno ensemble”.
SYNESTHETIC PROJECT (Austria)
An interdisciplinary artist collective led by the Vienna-based flutist Nika Bauman composed of artists from South and Central America, Europe and Asia.
Through a series of collaborations with dancers, visual and multimedia artists, the project explores the concepts of diversity, understanding, tolerance and communication.
Synesthetic Project recently released the filmed versions of 3 different productions and gave live performances in Dublin, Zagreb, Vienna, Innsbruck, Lower Austria, and the Hidalgo Festival in Munich.
PICKPOCKET SWINGERS (Slovenia)
This energetic band plays a great selection of arrangements of tunes from the 20’s, 40's, 50's and 60's, made famous by artists such as Duke Ellington, Elvis Presley, Buddy Defranco, Louis Armstrong, etc.
With years of accompaning dancers on swing festivals they have decided it is time to present their music to the public.
